The expansive history of Hindi cinema is known to entertain the world with its most prominent genre of films which are family entertainers. It is a category that hasn’t seen strong, content-oriented stories lately but director Ajay Lohan is all set to change that with his upcoming film, Virgin Bhanupriya.
This directorial debut of Lohan is produced by Shreyans Mahendra Dhariwal and presented by Hanwaant Khatri and Lalit Khatri. Chirag Dhariwal will be seen as the creative head of the film.
The film boasts of a talented cast which includes names like Urvashi Rautela, Archana Puran Singh, Gautam Gulati, Nikki Aneja, Rajeev Gupta, Natasha Suri, and Sumit Gulati.
Talking about his first film, director Ajay Lohan says, “I am so excited to begin this chapter of my journey with a film like Virgin Bhanupriya. We want to see families coming in and enjoying together in the theatres which is not something we see now. This film is a light-hearted, fun entertainer and I am so glad to have such strong actors like Urvashi Rautela, Archana Puran Singh and so many others on my team. Shreyans Dhariwal is a huge support and we are looking forward to collaborating on this.”
The leading lady of the film, Urvashi Rautela says, “I have always looked for projects that have the potential to be different from the work that I have done before. When I heard the story of Virgin Bhanupriya, I immediately knew that I wanted to be a part of this film. The story is fresh and it is exactly the kind of film that I would want to watch as an audience. It is a comedy, which is a genre I have done before, but the treatment of the film and the characters are so unique. I love this huge cast with Gautam (Gulati) and Archanaji (Puran Singh). Our director, Ajay Lohan has gotten a great team of actors together and we had a blast shooting for it. I am looking forward to the audience to see me in this new avatar soon.”
Produced by Shreyans Mahendra Dhariwal, presented by Hanwaant Khatri and Lalit Khatri and directed by Ajay Lohan, the multi-starrer is slated to release in theatres in June 2020.
