Showtime is helmed by Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana with Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles.
Created by Sumit Roy, Showrunner and directed by Mihir Desai and Directed by Archit Kumar, the screenplay is by Sumit Roy, Mithun Gangopadhyay and Lara Chandni while the dialogues are written by Jehan Handa and Karan Shrikant Sharma. Portraying a character related to the profession that you are a part of seems easy, but it isn’t, because every character has its different character arc and one has to unlearn a lot of things to look natural on screen. Talking about it, Mouni Roy said, “When I first heard about the character, I thought it would be slightly frivolous, but when I went into it and read the whole script, I realized that she had an emotional depth to her. I surely connected with that. Talking about drawing similarities, I think we are a part of the industry where yes, we receive a lot of love, adulation, fame and stardom, but along with that, there is that struggle to land the next big part. So, you will see all of that through this character in the course of
the show.”
